Why does this feel like Xmas day to me? Here in the UK, we hear much less about mind-body medicine and this groundbreaking brain-science approach to healing chronic conditions in comparison to the US. Which, in fairness, is definitely changing now thanks to organisations such as SIRPA and Living Proof. But when I saw Dr Howard Schubiner's beaming face, standing with Dr Chatterjee on my social feed this morning I couldn't help but feel elated that this message is finally gaining the traction, attention and wider following that it deserves on British soil.
Dr Chatterjee approaches challenging medical, health and well-being topics in such an approachable and simplified way, that I'm sure it will be not only heard by many but also taken very seriously, given the notoriety and well-established credibility that Dr Chatterjee and his guests carry. There is no doubt in my mind that this episode will help millions of people suffering from chronic conditions.
Thank you Dr Chatterjee for shining such a bright light on mind-body medicine and how it has cured millions of people, including me, from debilitating chronic pain and other persistent symptoms. And thank you for sharing your own chronic pain journey story, and digging deep into the emotional aspect of how your pain persisted and why. I have huge respect for you and the work you're doing!
