When I found out I couldn't attend Nicole Sachs' Freedom from Chronic Pain retreat at Omega due to pandemic travel restrictions, naturally, I was absolutely gutted! BUT - the universe delivered in another way and I was really excited to be able to Livestream a Yoga Nidra class to the participants, as part of their Self-Compassion themed day of mind-body healing workshops.
This is one of my favourite subjects to cover in my classes, and I'm so grateful that it was enjoyed by such a beautiful group of self-healers at the Omega Institute so I thought I would share the recording of that session here for you guys to all enjoy too.
I lead 4 different types of yoga classes online each week to the chronic pain community, this particular style is called Nourishing Nidra and involves no standing or significant movement at all. It's a form of deeply relaxing meditation where we fully surrender the body and mind and take a deep dive inwards to allow the nervous system to settle gently into full-on rest and repair.
Grab your headphones, get into some really comfortable clothes, find a warm and comfortable spot to lie down, prop some pillows under your knees and head and just follow my voice.
